Volunteer SEO Content Writer

About the role

Cindy Yee Kong, author of The Eyes of the Lion, found Grace Animal Rehabilitation Center Inc. under the pressing need of rescuing and re-homing overpopulated stray cats in her community. Her love for domesticated animals began when she was comforted by a rescue kitten in her trying time. We’re looking for a passionate SEO Content Blogger to join our volunteer team! In this role, you’ll create engaging, informative, and search‑optimized blog posts that help boost our website traffic, strengthen our online presence, and raise awareness for our mission. If you’re familiar with — or excited to learn about — animal welfare topics, you’ll be able to craft meaningful content that truly resonates with readers.

Responsibilities

• Publish one long‑form blog every 2 weeks on WordPress (1,500–2,500 words)
• Write content that is accurate, trustworthy, and aligned with SEO best practices
• Review and edit your own work to ensure clarity, quality, and professionalism

Requirements

• Basic WordPress skills to format and publish blog posts
• A self‑starter mindset — comfortable managing your writing schedule and producing content with minimal direction
• Canva proficiency for simple graphics or blog visuals
• Strong copywriting and editing skills

Your writing helps our rescue reach more people who care about animal welfare. Every blog you publish increases our visibility, attracts potential volunteers and donors, and educates the community about the challenges animals face. Strong SEO content helps us grow our audience, strengthen our credibility, and ultimately support more pets in need. Your voice becomes part of the impact we make every day.
