Content Writer (Website & Blog)

About the Role

We are seeking a versatile content writer to create website pages, blog posts, and occasional email newsletters/campaigns for clients of our Tampa-based digital marketing agency. You will write homepage copy, service pages, location pages, blogs, and occasional emails—then publish blogs yourself and hand off website content to our developer.

Responsibilities

• Write clear, engaging, error-free content for website pages, blog posts, and email campaigns
• Publish blog posts directly to WordPress
• Hand off website content to our developer for implementation
• Manage your own time and deadlines across 8–12 client accounts
• Adapt your writing voice to match different brand personalities
• Communicate professionally with clients and team members on calls and in writing
• Research unfamiliar topics (HVAC, roofing, legal, consulting, etc.) as needed
• Familiarize yourself with our internal project management system and software

Requirements

• 2–3+ years of writing experience (agency, freelance, or in-house)
• Portfolio with 3–5 samples including website pages and blog posts
• Able to work within the EST time zone
• Exceptional writing skills—clear, engaging, and error-free
• Quick learner with strong research capabilities
• Self-directed and able to manage multiple deadlines
• Professional communication skills for client interactions
• Ability to handle 8–12 clients simultaneously

Skills

• SEO knowledge (keyword research, on-page optimization)—can be trained if needed
• WordPress experience (comfortable publishing posts)—can be trained if needed
• AI tool proficiency (ChatGPT, Claude for research and efficiency)—can be trained if needed
• Home services writing (HVAC, roofing, contractors, moving, etc.)—preferred but can be trained

Pay
