Summary
The CDCE/Voluntary Service Assistant for the Center for Development and Civic Engagement (CDCE)/Voluntary Service is responsible for providing support to the facility's CDCE/Voluntary Service operations as the first point of contact for potential volunteers, patients, visitors, service organizations, corporate and community leaders, donors, and other internal and external stakeholders.
Facilitate Meetings, Correspondence, or Other Administrative Actions
- Maintain many physical and/or electronic records for reports due monthly, quarterly, annually and as necessary
- Enter data into multiple databases
- Complete equipment inventory surveys and ensure proper documentation of equipment assigned to the CDCE/Voluntary Service department
- Maintain databases in which all electronic volunteer and donor/donations are managed and stored
- Develop and prepare communications materials regarding the program
- Maintain oversight of the VA volunteer timekeeping and donation package
- Cookbook request and purchase of office operating supplies
Receive Patients, Visitors, Volunteers, Donors, and Other Stakeholders

Work Schedule
Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Qualifications
- To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/13/2026.
- You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
- Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: orders and maintains necessary level of needed forms and office supplies; maintenance of office records and files; Compiles data for reporting purposes; experience inputting data into a computerized database; experience recording and managing physical items such as donation; and utilizing interpersonal communication skills which foster effective working relationships.
