Responsibilities

  • Aid in volunteer on-boarding including interviewing, screening, placement, training, evaluation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate volunteer placements with area high schools and colleges.
  • Manage daily operations of the gift shop, including staffing, scheduling, inventory, and maintenance of timekeeping system.
  • Support the Manager in the Lights for Love annual fundraiser from October through December.
  • Assist with software systems to track and monitor volunteer activities using UKG.
  • Provide support, guidance, and be the single point of contact for communications regarding volunteer recognition and appreciation efforts.
  • Collaborate with hospital leaders to identify volunteer opportunities that enhance the patient/family experience.
  • Perform daily gift shop functions and maintain best practices.
  • Assist the Manager in evaluating the gift shop staff and meeting performance expectations.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate degree required, bachelor’s degree in related fields such as business, healthcare, human services, arts/humanities, or retail preferred but not limited to.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of relevant management experience, preferably in healthcare or human resources/services field.
  • Skills: High-level communication skills (written and spoken), ability to manage multiple projects/programs, and strong interpersonal skills with a diverse population.
  • Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
