About the role
The Assistant Indoor Volleyball Coach/Assistant Recruiting Coordinator assists the Head Coach in organizing and managing all phases of a Division I Volleyball program, including recruiting, team/recruiting travel, and budget management.
Responsibilities
- Coaches team at practices and competitive events.
- Assists with oversight of the personal well-being of student-athletes.
- Assists with oversight of successfully recruiting and retaining high-level student-athletes.
- Assists with oversight of the academic progress and success of student-athletes.
- Assists with oversight of communication and collaboration with the Strength and Conditioning Coach to design conditioning programs.
- Collaborates with the Head Coach, athletic trainers, to design academic year (in-season and out-of-season) and summer conditioning programs.
- Assist with budgeting, reconciling expenses, and proposing purchases for the sports program.
- Responsible for assisting in all phases of a Division I intercollegiate volleyball program, which includes scheduling, recruiting, travel coordination, budgets, and fundraising.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and Division I volleyball coaching/recruiting experience.
- Applicants must demonstrate an awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a multicultural population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching, and other comparable experiences.
