Position Summary
The Recruiting Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Legal Recruiting Manager throughout the hiring process. This role is responsible for scheduling interviews, managing candidate communications, maintaining applicant tracking systems, and ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and hiring managers. The Recruiting Assistant plays a key role in supporting efficient recruitment operations and helping the organization attract top talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Aid recruiters with day-to-day recruitment activities and hiring initiatives.
- Schedule and coordinate candidate interviews with hiring managers and interview panels.
- Maintain and update candidate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Communicate with candidates regarding interview details, application status, and onboarding requirements.
- Post job openings on company career sites, job boards, and social media platforms.
- Screen applications and resumes for minimum qualifications.
- Conduct reference checks and support background check processes as needed.
- Prepare recruitment-related documents, reports, and correspondence.
- Track recruitment metrics and assist with reporting activities.
- Assist with recruitment events, job fairs, and campus recruiting initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality of candidate and employee information.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- An associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of administrative, customer service, recruiting, or human resources experience preferred.
- Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- An attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting recruitment or human resources functions.
- Knowledge of recruitment processes and employment practices.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Indeed, and other recruiting platforms.
- Experience using HRIS and applicant tracking systems.
What We Offer
- Starting Compensation Range: $45,000 - $55,000 per year.
