Job Description

Do you bring out the star in your students? Our motto here at Taylor Robinson Music is "Learn to Play From the Heart", and we are looking for private music instructors who share the same philosophy!

About the role

We do not have a brick-and-mortar studio location in the Hammond, IN area, but we have students needing teachers ASAP!

Responsibilities

  • Teach voice lessons in the students' homes, your own home, or your own studio/rehearsal space.
  • Set your own schedule and lesson plans.
  • Handle all advertising, marketing, and SEO work for you to bring the students in and handle all the billing.
  • Be organized and on time for all lessons.

Requirements

  • Great with kids and love teaching.
  • Keep in good communication with our office.
  • Have one of the following:
    • A degree in music.
    • Enrollment in a music program.
    • Professional performing experience.
    • Previous teaching experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience teaching voice.

Skills

  • Ability to teach in various settings (in-person, at home, via webcam).
  • Good communication skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • On-time lesson delivery.

Pay

You would be paid on an independent contractor basis between $20-$30 per hour dependent on travel time, your experience/education, and your student retention rate.
