About the role

Duties
- Mentor, support and guide new teachers in classroom management, pedagogy, and implementing the Massachusetts Vocational Standards for their shop.
- Work with Non-PTS teachers to share best practices and model effective teaching practices.
- Observe new teachers in the classroom frequently and provide feedback.
- Share resources to improve new teacher effectiveness.
- Facilitate new teacher support groups as needed.
- Collaborate with the Vocational PD Committee to organize and deliver professional development for teachers.
- Teach 20% schedule and coordinate support to new teachers with the Effective Educator Coach, if applicable.
Qualifications
- Professional Teacher Status - Current DESE Vocational Professional licensure (candidates with another DESE Vocational license may be considered).
- Maintain a 95% attendance rate.
- Exemplary evaluation from a direct supervisor (minimum of overall Proficient rating required).
- A minimum of five years teaching experience.
