Instructional Coach

About the role

The Instructional Coach (IC) will support the academic strategy and model that enables City Year Chicago to reach school and student outcome goals. The IC supports and implements academic strategy and model for Tier One and Tier Two spaces that ensure we reach our student outcome measures in math and literacy. Create instructional learning experiences for corps and staff that build the skills and knowledge necessary to reach school and student outcome measures. They also serve as active members of the City Year Chicago community in order to advance the site and work toward the Long-Term Impact Strategy. The IC reports to the Senior Service Director and supports 6 to 8 school teams.

Responsibilities

• Observe each AmeriCorps member (ACM) in your portfolio at least once a month with the Impact Manager (IM) as they work either as a whole class support, one-on-one sessions, or as they lead a tutoring session with their focus list students.
