Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) Facilitator

About the role

Support the growth of Honeywell Arts & Entertainment's arts education programs in local schools through the nationally recognized Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS) method.

Responsibilities

• Average 10 hours or less per week visiting assigned classrooms throughout the school year.
• Lead engaging discussions that help students develop observation, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Build meaningful relationships with students and teachers while creating an inclusive environment.
• Encourage students to share ideas, explore multiple perspectives, and connect with works of art.
• Assist with classroom coverage to support program flexibility.
• Opportunities for additional hours as the program grows.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with 3–5 years of experience working with children.
• Bachelor's degree in education, art, communications, or a related field preferred.
• Engaging communicator who enjoys working with children, facilitating group discussions, and fostering creativity and curiosity.
• Strong organization, reliability, collaboration, adaptability, and professionalism.
• A passion for arts education and helping students learn through thoughtful inquiry.
