Visual Merchandising Specialist

About the role

Join our fast-paced, dynamic visual merchandising team as a Retail Visual Specialist. You’ll develop relationships with coworkers and ensure each customer’s needs are met efficiently while executing all aspects of visual merchandising in your location.

Responsibilities

• Follow corporate visual direction and adapt it to best fit your location.
• Partner with store manager, assistant manager, and department managers to execute presentations.
• Follow event calendars and sale dates to set promotional events.
• Update and maintain fashion-forward mannequins and forms on a weekly basis.
• Adjust accent lighting as needed for presentations.
• Upkeep existing presentations throughout the store as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the visual shop and fixture/hardware area.
• Attend weekly WebEx calls for visual merchandising direction.
• Handle email communications with store management and corporate visual teams.
• Complete web-based order forms for graphics, vinyl, and supplies following corporate guidelines.
• Assist with store openings, renovation floor sets, and overnight travel as required.

Requirements

• Experience in merchandising and styling, with knowledge of current trends.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers.
• High level of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and understand floor plans and planograms.
• Comfortable operating a computer/tablet and learning new programs and systems.
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently with little supervision.
