Visiting Instructor - College of Pharmacy - Glendale - PGY2
About the role
This is a 1-year fellowship in ambulatory care and academia with Midwestern University College of Pharmacy, Glendale Campus (MWU-CPG) in collaboration with Banner Ambulatory Care Services and Cardiac Solutions.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients, manage medication therapy, order labs, and provide patient education related to covered disease states including diabetes, weight management, hypertension, lipid management, asthma, COPD, tobacco cessation, heart failure, and hypotension.
- Work under a collaborative practice agreement to provide clinical services.
- Teach students and clinicians through APPEs, didactic lecturing, and workshops.
- Develop and complete research proposals and manuscript submissions as a primary author.
- Involvement within CPG, Arizona Pharmacy Association, and American Society of Consultant Pharmacists to enhance service skills.
Requirements
- PharmD degree.
- Completion of a PGY-1 ASHP accredited (or pending) program or ASHP approved equivalent experience preferred.
- Commitment to excellence in teaching and patient care, and eligibility for pharmacy licensure in Arizona.
- Strong commitment to interdisciplinary education and teamwork.

Pay
The pay structure is flexible and based on the division of time between clinical service, teaching, service to the college and university, and research.
Schedule
The schedule is structured to allow for 40-50% clinical service, 30% teaching, 10% service to the college and university, and 10-20% research, based on the fellow’s interests.
