Instructor - Pharmacy Practice
Position Overview
The Instructor will teach PHPR 620, including developing and facilitating educational experiences and student assessment through exams, quizzes, assignments, or other measures.
The successful candidate will provide office hours for students, either in-person or online.
Preferred candidates should have experience and training in healthcare ethics, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
This is a term appointment for the Fall 2026 semester. Renewal will be based on unit needs and funding, not exceeding two continuous semesters.
The position is subject to a collective bargaining agreement and is not eligible for tenure or promotion.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the U.S. prior to the start date of the position.
Job Description
- Teach in PHPR 620, develop course materials, manage syllabi, create lectures and assignments, grade student work, advise students, and hold office hours.
- Collaborate with colleagues, stay current in the field, and adhere to departmental, school/college, and university policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Terminal degree in Pharmacy (ACPE accredited school or BS in Pharmacy for pre-2000 graduates), Law, or healthcare related discipline OR Master’s and 7 years of relevant experience in a healthcare related field.
- Record of research, scholarship, or achievement in a healthcare related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching healthcare ethics.
- Experience with culturally competent care.
