Visiting Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management
About the role
The Department of Business Administration in the College of Business at Auburn University Montgomery (AUM) seeks qualified faculty candidates to fill a one-year, non-tenure track visiting assistant professor position in human resource management. This is a full-time, nine-month position and a completed doctoral degree in Human Resources Management or Management is required. There may be an opportunity for renewal beyond the 2026-2027 academic year.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in Human Resources Management and Organizational Behavior.
- Teach 7, 3 hours courses spread over the fall and spring semesters.
- Be available for advising and mentoring students.
- Participate in departmental and college committees.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of curriculum.
- Engage in scholarly activities and professional development.
Requirements
- A completed doctoral degree in Human Resources Management or Management.
- Excellent written and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse audiences.
- A commitment to promoting and enhancing inclusion.
Qualifications
- Terminal degree appropriate for the discipline.
- Practical field experience in human resources.
- Knowledge of and activity in the Society of Human Resource Management organization.
- Competencies in the application of AI in Human Resource Management.
Skills
- Strengths in undergraduate teaching.
- Ability to engage in scholarly activities and professional development.
