Visiting Assistant Professor in Chemistry
About the role
The CSU-Pueblo Chemistry Department offers a degree certified by the American Chemical Society (ACS) and stresses excellence in teaching. The Chemistry Department is a Colorado Commission of Higher Education designated Program of Excellence with a substantial array of instrumentation including FT NMR (2), GCMS (3), GC-FID (3), AFM, LCMS, LCMSMS, ICP-MS, UV-Vis, HPLC, SEM and FTIR (2). Faculty and students are active in both undergraduate and master's level research.
Responsibilities
- Teaching 12 credit hours per semester in chemistry courses
- Holding regular office hours for students
- Fulfilling basic service duties to program, college, university and/or profession
- Teaching general and introductory chemistry courses and labs
- Likely having the opportunity to teach upper division courses in their area of specialty
Qualifications
- Earned doctoral degree in chemistry or related field
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness in university level chemistry
