About the role

The Department of Biology, Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering at Florida Polytechnic University is seeking applicants for the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry. This position will primarily focus on Chemistry 1 lectures and laboratory instruction.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Chemistry 1 lectures and laboratory courses to freshmen and sophomores.
  • Assist in the broader educational mission of the university.

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field, where the degree must be complete before a candidate’s starting date.

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior teaching and relevant research or industry experience.
  • Participation in professional activities and organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with broad campus community.

Compensation

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
