Virtual Sales Account Executive (Remote)
About the role
This role involves building and advancing a high-quality pipeline by making 30+ targeted outbound calls daily to generate, qualify, and progress opportunities. The role also includes guiding opportunities through the sales process, collaborating with field sales and cross-functional teams, and working with channel and ecosystem partners.
Responsibilities
- Make 30+ targeted outbound calls daily to generate, qualify, and progress opportunities.
- Identify key contacts and deliver tailored messaging to create new business opportunities.
- Research target accounts to inform outreach and engagement efforts.
- Take ownership of deals from initial engagement through to completion, ensuring a positive experience for prospects and customers.
- Manage and lead multiple opportunities simultaneously, keeping momentum and engagement high throughout each stage of the sales process.
- Maintain accurate pipeline information and sales activity in CRM systems, supporting effective forecasting and planning.
- Partner with field sales and cross-functional teams to support broader account strategies and ensure customer needs are met.
- Collaborate with channel and ecosystem partners to identify joint opportunities, coordinate outreach, and advance deals, maximizing value for customers and driving mutual success.
- Share protocols and market insights to help achieve team sales goals.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in inside sales or business development in the technology or SaaS sector.
- Track record of successfully moving prospects through the sales process and contributing to revenue targets.
- Understanding of SaaS sales cycles and consultative sales approaches, including prospecting, qualification, and solution positioning.
- Adaptable, organized, and able to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Coachable, with a continuous learning mindset and a focus on results.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Experience in a similar role preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant tools.
Skills
- Outbound calling and account-based selling techniques.
- Salesforce or similar CRM system proficiency.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

For quota-based sales roles on Cisco’s sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined.
Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $109,400.00 to $138,100.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training.
