Virtual Office Special Counsel Attorney

About the role

This mostly remote role focuses on handling administrative charges, attorney demand letters, and employment litigation for a variety of firm clients, including those with Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI).

Responsibilities

• Handle employment matters directly and supervise others.
• Develop case strategies.
• Draft and review work product.
• Conduct depositions.
• Represent clients at hearings, conferences, and trials.
• Collaborate with partners and a team of attorneys.
• Benefit from the support of a team of paralegals and a shared secretarial pool within our Virtual Office.
• Focus on efficient, high-quality legal work and provide exceptional legal services without the burden of additional non-billable hour demands.

Requirements

• Expertise in handling employment law matters.
• The ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• A JD from an ABA accredited law school.
• More than seven years of experience in employment law and litigation.
• Active bar membership in good standing.

Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications include experience practicing in a law firm, experience with matters covered by EPLI, and having bar admission in California.

Pay

The annual salary range for this position is $167,500 - $205,000, with actual base pay determined by factors such as the selected billable hours target, experience, skills, and qualifications.

Schedule

This role is mostly remote, with some travel (mostly local) involved.
