About the role

Venue Nation is seeking a VIP Host to drive a premium hospitality experience at Mystic Lake Amphitheater.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, scan guest tickets upon entry to the venue, answer guest questions, and assist guests with locating their seats.
• Examine tickets for entry to VIP clubs and seating areas around the venue.
• Assist with keeping the venue safe, clean, and presentable to guests.
• Resolve guest complaints or problems.
• Serve as a resource of information for guests regarding their experience within both the lounges and music areas.
• Provide assistance to all positions and communicate effectively with others to enhance guest experience.
• Constantly observe the lounge area, upholding the ambiance of the lounge or seating section.
• Exhibit articulate vocabulary with the ability to adapt and socialize with the audience.
• Present an exemplary and professional appearance.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and provide superior service.
• Guide guests to exits or provide other instructions or assistance in case of emergency.
• May assist in verifying staff credentials to generally restricted areas.
• Participate in the venue’s sustainability program, which could include sorting waste, collecting recycling, and educating fans about conservation efforts.
• Partner with fellow team members at the end of the show to close the venue, including collecting recyclables, picking up and storing event equipment such as lawn chairs and barricade.
• Assist patrons by giving directions inside or outside the venue.
• Ensure guests are safely enjoying the show.
• Perform additional tasks as requested by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of high-end restaurant operations, seating procedures, guest relations, and problem solving.
• Skill in diplomacy, handling multiple tasks, verbal communication, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.
• Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, and occasional sitting, lifting, and carrying 25 lbs. or more.
• Ability to diffuse possibly volatile situations with tact and diplomacy.
• Must have a flexible schedule.

Pay

Expected compensation for this position is $17.28 USD - $21.60 USD hourly, based on market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
