Our Employee-Owned, Georgia-based Low Voltage Systems Division is seeking a technician specializing in video surveillance, card access, or intrusion systems in Albany, GA. We are looking for technicians who excel in communication, technical knowledge, and problem-solving to deliver the highest level of customer service. This is a regular, full-time position eligible for benefits.
Responsibilities
- Inspect work areas and complete Job Hazard Analysis prior to starting any work.
- Review and process work orders, plan ahead, coordinate equipment, supplies, and tools, and manage schedule impacts.
- Install equipment and cable while adhering to codes, regulations, and standards.
- Troubleshoot technical issues to achieve quick resolutions.
- Complete post-installation paperwork and coordinate with supervisors for inspections.
- Provide first-class customer service to ensure superior customer satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of industry standards, color codes, cabling, and testing.
Requirements
- Work is performed while standing, sitting, walking, and climbing up and down ladders.
- Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, kneeling, and balancing.
- Climbing ladders of various heights and working in cramped corridors.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull a minimum of 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Standing for over 95% of the workday and/or sitting for up to 2 hours at a time.
- Working in indoor and outdoor conditions, including exposure to moving machinery, temperature/humidity changes, dust, fumes, and gases.
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Operate motor vehicles independently.
- Operate technologies and equipment as required by the installation plan.
Qualifications
- Possesses a positive safety attitude and high level of personal integrity.
- Values workmanship, customer service, and satisfaction.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment screening requirements.
- 5 years of experience in low voltage is strongly desired.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems with low voltage systems.
