Surveillance Technician

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Install, trouble shoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on digital recording systems
• Install, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems
• Install, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on other low voltage systems including security alarms and wireless receivers
• Install, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on IP cameras and related wiring
• Perform other general maintenance and administrative tasks

Knowledge And Certification, Skills And Abilities

• Knowledge and Certification Required: High School Diploma/GED, 2 years of work experience and/or completion of formal training with digital recording systems, computer networking, alarms, electrical and/or other related fields, preferred: 2-year degree in computer networking or electronics, familiarity with fire prevention and suppression systems
• Skills Required: Accurate and detail-oriented, Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, Excellent verbal communication skills, Strong mechanical aptitude
• Abilities Required: Ability to work fast and efficiently, Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene, Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner, Ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair specialized equipment

Required Training

• Treasure Island guest service training
• Training on all specialized security systems functions and equipment used at Treasure Island
• Complete proficiency certification on primary systems within 12 months
• Any position-related training as determined by division director

Physical Demands

• Must be able to walk and / or stand and sit for long periods throughout the day
• Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel and stoop
• Must be able to reach and twist routinely, occasionally
• Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
• Must be able to safety operate and work from a boom lift, utilize safety harnesses, and climb to elevated heights without physical restrictions
• Must be able to independently lift 25+ pounds routinely
• Must have the ability to manipulate equipment
• Must be able to navigate stairs and work at high elevations routinely
• Must have good eye hand coordination
• Must be able to operate foot pedals

Working Environment

• Work is performed throughout the entire property (inside and outdoors)
• May include flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
• Must be able to work in cramped, tight quarters
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
• Occasionally overtime may be required
