Responsibilities
- Maintain hardware and software; diagnose issues with directly and indirectly related mechanical equipment;
- Program the sequence of operations, user graphics, control setpoints, and alarms;
- Provide repairs and solutions for all alarms generated by the building automation systems;
- Assists staff technicians in monitoring and analyzing the proper operation of the HVAC system (heating, cooling, and airflow throughout the hospital);
- Reports abnormal building system conditions to the appropriate supervisor or trade lead;
- Responsible for the application of various regulations, operating instructions, plans, procedures, recall rosters, and emergency notifications;
- Maintains detailed shift log documentation;
- Maintain animal room temperature and humidity readings bi-hourly;
- Maintain hourly rotating walking tours of buildings;
- Maintain suite pressure logs, reporting any deficiencies as required;
- Respond to alarms and equipment failures in accordance with alarm messages;
- Maintain all mandatory and assigned training requirements;
- Relocate refrigeration equipment during after-hours equipment failures.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma;
- 1+ year experience with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) software;
- Certifications or Technical trade school certificate are desired.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, data analysis, and technical documentation to meet regulatory compliance;
- Knowledge of computer software programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is required;
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop, and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, and perform constant arm extensions;
- May involve minor safety hazards, with likely results of cuts, bruises, etc.
