About The Role
Goldin, an eBay company, is seeking a highly creative and versatile Video Editor to join its dynamic content team. The Video Editor will work closely with producers, digital content designers, social media managers, and marketing teams to craft engaging video content that resonates with diverse audiences. Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably in content, media, sports, entertainment, or digital marketing environments
- Proven track record of editing high-retention social media video content
- Strong portfolio or demo reel demonstrating pacing, narrative structure, audio design, and social video aesthetics
- Advanced proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition (or equivalent audio tools), Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Familiarity with AI-driven video/audio tools such as Premiere's text-based editing, auto-reframe, and AI audio enhancement
- Deep understanding of social media video hooks, viewer retention mechanics, and platform-specific formatting constraints
- Able to prioritize multiple projects, work independently remotely, and adapt quickly to changing deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills for managing raw footage, project files, and workflows
Responsibilities
- Edit compelling long-form and short-form videos tailored for platforms including Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, and more
- Structure narratives, select music, pace cuts, mix audio, and apply color grading to enhance visual storytelling and audience engagement
- Collaborate with producers and digital designers to integrate graphic assets, thumbnails, title cards, lower thirds, and motion elements seamlessly into videos
- Reformat and optimize videos into vertical (9:16), square (1:1), and horizontal (16:9) formats for platform-specific success
- Maintain brand voice, visual standards, and quality across all video content
- Organize raw footage, manage project files, and streamline post-production workflows for efficiency
- Stay current with social media video trends, editing styles, trending audio, and platform feature updates to enhance content performance
- Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining high creative standards
- Contribute ideas for workflow improvements and innovative content approaches
