About the role

Join the KC Current team as the Vice President, Ticket Sales and Service and lead the strategic direction and operational execution of all ticket sales and service initiatives, as well as all publicly ticketed events. This dynamic leadership role requires a proven track record in sales management, customer service excellence, and team leadership. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maximize revenue, enhance customer experience, and drive overall organizational growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive ticket sales strategy that aligns with the organization’s overall objectives across CPKC Stadium, Riverside Stadium, and Current Landing.
  • Lead the organization’s publicly ticketed events strategy, including economic modeling, ticket sales pricing and operations, bid process (if applicable), and the contract and negotiation process.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the ticket sales and service teams to achieve and exceed sales targets, fostering a high-performance culture based on accountability, teamwork, and results.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service across all touchpoints, creating a seamless experience for all ticket clients. Develop and implement programs to enhance customer loyalty and retention.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate across departments to create compelling sales campaigns and initiatives, optimize revenue across varying external stakeholders, and align sales strategies with overall business goals.
  • Work closely with Finance to develop and manage the Ticket Sales and Service budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize return on investment.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including season ticket members and the Kansas City Corporate Community at-large.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies that can enhance ticket sales production.
  • Identify sales tools and technologies that enable the sales process and drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • A strong, proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including speaking, writing, and active listening.
  • Proven ability to plan, implement, and analyze performance results against objectives and KPIs.
  • Proven ability to attract new sales and retain existing customers.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with varying ticket systems and CRM software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated sales leadership experience in ticket sales, sports/entertainment industry, or a related industry.

Special Requirements

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts), and holidays.
  • Ability to monitor company communications and respond to time-sensitive matters with senior executives.
  • Travel may be required.
