Vice President, Residential Credit Analyst

About the role

The Vice President will contribute within a cross-functional investment framework, working fluidly between the Real Estate Debt and ABF teams and participating in joint deal teams as opportunities warrant. The individual will contribute to the evaluation of investment opportunities, contributing to sourcing, diligence, and underwriting efforts for ABF funds as it relates to real estate transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate new and existing investments through credit analysis, cash flow modeling, collateral review, and relative value analysis.
  • Conduct market and collateral research to support investment decisions.
  • Structure, execute, and manage private credit investments and monitor portfolio risk.
  • Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and other investment committee materials.
  • Develop and enhance analytical tools for structured real estate credit investing.
  • Partner with the Asset-Backed Finance team and other investment strategies on underwriting and portfolio management.
  • Cook up and coordinate with financing providers, third-party technology partners, and internal stakeholders to support investment activities.
  • Support client communications and marketing initiatives, as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of residential credit investment experience at an asset management firm or investment bank.
  • Strong experience analyzing non-agency RMBS and structured credit investments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in underwriting, valuation, and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency with Bloomberg, Intex, CoreLogic, and non-agency mortgage datasets.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in math/science strongly preferred.

Pay

Base Salary Range: $250,000 - $275,000
