Vice President, Research Integrity & Compliance

About the role

The Vice President partners with executive leadership to develop and evaluate healthcare compliance controls and programs across UCI Health and UC Irvine School of Medicine. Responsibilities include oversight of compliance and privacy for hospitals, clinics, and UCI clinical affiliates, as well as academic clinical care faculty and privacy compliance oversight.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage corporate compliance and privacy plans
• Implement and enforce regulatory compliance
• Oversee the operational application of regulations and industry trends
• Provide guidance on legal and regulatory issues
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA and state privacy rules
• Manage reporting systems and controls
• Communicate compliance and privacy aspects to external stakeholders

Requirements

• Executive leadership experience in an inpatient healthcare setting
• Experience as a Chief Compliance Officer in a mid-large sized health care delivery system
• Knowledge of federal and state health care services regulations
• Experience in academic medicine models and community models of health care delivery
• Expertise in all aspects of assigned functions
• Strong planning, financial, and analytical skills

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in health care related field
• Knowledge of University, academic medical center, and community health care delivery organizations
• CHC, CHC-F, and CHRC certification preferred
