Vice President, Production Services Application Support

About the role

As a Vice President, Production Services Application Support member, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational integrity of our technology applications and platforms. This senior role is crucial in ensuring the stability, efficiency, and continuous availability of the systems that support our financial operations. The Production Services team monitors real-time dashboards for first-touch remediation of events impacting critical applications and confirms that proper attention is applied to each event by the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide governance for the Production Services group in the region, including mentoring new members.
• Resolve issues related to critical applications, servers, networks, and telecommunications.
• Build and maintain standard procedures and documentation to troubleshoot and resolve events.
• Work with platform engineers to reduce mean time to resolution and enhance service delivery.
• Provide support and coverage for disaster recovery or business contingency events.
• Perform routine system maintenance, upgrades, and backups in accordance with established procedures and compliance regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science (or equivalent work experience in similar fields).
• 12+ years of experience in technology support areas, including network, Windows, Unix, and/or mainframe, with hands-on IT infrastructure and application troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management; knowledge of the payments ecosystem is a plus.
• Proficiency in automation solutions, Prometheus, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, and Python automation scripts.
• Strong understanding of financial systems and trading platforms.
• Background and experience working in an enterprise environment with ITIL Service Management disciplines, including request, incident, problem, and change processes.
