Vice President of Branch Administration and Operations

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in distribution, logistics, transportation, or multisite operations.
  • Proven experience leading large teams and driving operational performance.
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or advanced business degree.
  • Experience within roofing, building materials, construction products, or related distribution industries.
  • Knowledge of fleet operations, DOT compliance, and logistics management.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and multiple branch locations.

Branch Operations & Administration

Provide leadership and oversight to branch administration and operational leadership teams. Standardize and improve processes across all branch locations. Ensure consistent execution of company policies, procedures, and service standards. Support workforce planning, staffing strategies, and resource allocation across branches.

Logistics & Distribution

Lead companywide logistics operations and transportation planning. Optimize delivery routes, scheduling, and load efficiencies. Improve service levels while reducing operational costs. Enhance lastmile delivery performance and customer satisfaction.

Fleet Management

Oversee fleet acquisition, utilization, maintenance, and lifecycle planning. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Monitor fleet performance, fuel usage, and maintenance metrics. Identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency and reduce costs.

Leadership & Team Development

Lead, mentor, and develop operational leaders and support teams. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Drive succession planning and leadership development initiatives. Promote a strong safety-first culture across all locations.

The Vice President of Branch Administration & Operations is responsible for driving operational excellence, improving efficiency, enhancing customer service, and supporting the continued growth of GW Murphy Inc. This role requires a strong background in multi-site distribution operations, logistics, fleet management, and leadership development.
