Vice President, IT & Innovation

Job Summary

The Vice President of Information Technology & Innovation provides executive-level leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for HopeWest’s enterprise technology environment, cybersecurity program, infrastructure, systems integration, and information services operations. The position serves as a proactive organizational leader and trusted strategic partner to executive leadership in aligning technology initiatives with HopeWest’s mission, operational priorities, patient care delivery, compliance requirements, and long-term organizational growth.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Business Administration, or related field required. Master’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of progressively responsible Information Technology experience required. Minimum of 7+ years of leadership or management experience overseeing enterprise technology operations, infrastructure, or systems required. Executive-level leadership experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, EHR systems, and care coordination processes preferred. Experience with cybersecurity governance, strategic planning, vendor management, infrastructure management, and enterprise systems oversight required. Experience leading organizational technology initiatives, operational change management, and cross-functional projects preferred. Experience with enterprise data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence platforms preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) preferred.

• Demonstrates strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational prioritization skills.
• Maintains knowledge of healthcare technology regulations, HIPAA requirements, cybersecurity standards, and industry best practices.
• Demonstrates strong leadership presence, professionalism, and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and organizational initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintains a proactive, service-oriented, and solutions-focused leadership approach.
• Demonstrates strong collaboration and partnership skills across operational and executive teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading digital transformation or innovation initiatives, including AI or automation technologies.
