About the role

The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) delivers a comprehensive suite of banking, capital markets, and advisory solutions to corporate, government, and institutional clients. Wells Fargo is seeking a Vice President to join the Energy & Power group, focusing on executing capital markets and M&A transactions for corporate clients while supporting a risk‑mitigating, compliance‑driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Execute capital markets and M&A transactions for corporate clients.
• Present complex ideas and analyses to internal and external parties.
• Generate strategic content, including industry analysis and product‑specific concepts.
• Coordinate deliverables with coverage teams and internal product partners.
• Manage day‑to‑day project workflows.
• Develop junior talent.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in energy sectors.
• Company or asset sell‑side and buy‑side experience.
• Acquisition financing experience.
• Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.

Job Expectations

• Registration for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam within 90 days of hire (FINRA recognized equivalents accepted).
• Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) within 90 days of hire (FINRA recognized equivalents accepted).
• Registration for FINRA Series 79 within 90 days of hire (FINRA recognized equivalents accepted).
• Successful completion of FINRA background screening and ongoing regulatory obligations.
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Pay

Pay Range: $275,000 – $275,000
