About the role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Vice President to join the Energy & Power group.

Responsibilities

  • Execute capital markets and M&A transactions for our corporate clients
  • Present complex ideas and analyses to internal and external parties
  • Generate strategic content, including industry analysis and product-specific concepts
  • Coordinate deliverables with coverage team and internal product partners
  • Manage day-to-day project workflows
  • Develop junior talent

Qualifications

  • Required: 5+ years of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
  • Desired: Experience in energy sectors
  • Desired: Company or asset sellside and buyside experience
  • Desired: Acquisition financing experience
  • Desired: Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Desired: Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
  • Desired: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Desired: Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Job Expectations

  • Registration for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire (or transfer equivalent)
  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire (or transfer equivalent)
  • Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire (or transfer equivalent)
  • FINRA‑recognized equivalents are accepted for the above exams
  • Position subject to FINRA background screening; candidates must pass a background check prior to hire
  • Candidates subject to statutory disqualification are not eligible to be associated with a FINRA‑registered broker‑dealer
  • Ongoing regulatory obligations include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents
  • Specific compliance policies may apply to outside activities or personal investing; affected employees must provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time

Pay

Pay range: $275,000 – $275,000 (i.e., $275,000)
