About The Role

As Vice President - Head of Marketing for the Energy business, you will define the marketing strategy and plan to support the business' strategic growth initiatives. You will act as the primary marketing partner to the General Managers and Senior Leaders and lead product marketing efforts to define value propositions and points of differentiation by market segment, while maximizing the outcomes and success of lead generation campaigns. You will orchestrate a unified, data-driven marketing ecosystem that optimizes the entire client lifecycle. You will report to the Executive Vice President - General Manager, Dow Jones Energy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a centralized direct marketing organization for the Energy product suite: OPIS, CMA, PCW, A2i, Ecomovement
  • Act as a key partner to the GM and Business Leaders to ensure marketing activities and resources support the business' strategic initiatives and are optimized for effectiveness
  • Define the marketing strategy, roles, and resources needed to support Industries’ growth and target areas of opportunity as the Energy product suite evolves
  • Leverage customer feedback and market research to inform and prioritize plans
  • Define value propositions for product offerings for different markets and end users
  • Collaborate with different teams within the central marketing organization to execute and optimize paid media, online presence, and event-related activities for target market segments
  • Align closely with respective Sales leaders and organizations to optimize quality, pipeline velocity, and closed-won outcomes
  • Track and measure lifecycle impact of leads through to closed won/lost opportunities
  • Establish a performance dashboard to monitor daily KPIs, diagnose bottlenecks, and optimize resource allocation
  • Manage and coordinate online presence and positioning for different products and different market segments to maximize awareness
  • Collaborate with other marketing leaders and teams of B2B products within Dow Jones

Requirements

  • At least 15 years’ B2B marketing experience within technology, energy/commodities, financial information services, or media/publishing
  • Extensive experience working with Sales organizations in leading product and account-based marketing activities and lead generation campaigns
  • Experience with recurring revenue/subscription revenue models and one-off events models
  • Deep understanding of paid media, content marketing, thought leadership, events, digital/online presence, and branding
  • Familiarity with AI-driven analytics, reporting technologies, subscription intelligence platforms, and enterprise SaaS solutions
  • Experience working in or leading a centralized marketing model
  • Strong background in managing significant marketing budgets with a focus on high-impact resource allocation and cost-efficiency
  • Able to act as a trusted advisor to General Managers and Business Leaders

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through marketing initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with CRM systems and marketing automation tools
