About the role
The Vice President of GTM Strategy & Operations plays a pivotal role in shaping Nscale’s go-to-market strategy and operations. They are responsible for optimizing complex capacity monetization models, refining sales territories, and architecting the next evolution of Nscale’s CRM and data systems.
Responsibilities
- Architect the Operating Rhythm: Design, implement, and relentlessly iterate on the core GTM operating cadence. Establish rigorous weekly forecasting methodologies, design impactful Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and lead the annual strategic planning cycles.
- Capacity & Revenue Modeling: Build complex financial and operational models that connect GPU deployment schedules with the sales pipeline. Ensure maximum efficiency in monetizing every megawatt of data center capacity, balancing spot instances with long-term reserved commitments.
- Build the RevOps & Tech Stack Foundation: Evaluate, select, and implement the core GTM tool stack (CRM, CPQ, forecasting tools). Establish strict pipeline hygiene standards and data definitions.
- Cross-Functional Orchestration: Convert raw physical compute capacity into actionable sales territories and quotas, ensuring the GTM team is always aligned with what the supply chain can deliver.
- Strategic Board Reporting: Distill complex operational data into compelling, high-level narratives, preparing Board-level presentations, performance readouts, and strategic investment requests.
Experience & Capabilities
- 12+ years of progressive experience in Revenue Operations, GTM Strategy, or Cloud Infrastructure Operations, with prior success at the VP or Sr. Director level in a hyper-growth tech environment.
- Tangible, provable experience in a capital-intensive, capacity-constrained business (e.g., traditional cloud providers, physical infrastructure). Understands aligning sales incentives with supply chain realities and hardware deprecation cycles.
- A true "builder's" mindset. Portfolio of complex operational systems designed and scaled from the ground up, finding breaking points, and successfully transitioning to a scaled team.
- Deeply analytical chops; proficient in data visualization tools and building dynamic, multi-variable capacity, pricing, and consumption-based revenue architectures.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities. Talent magnet who leads with high emotional intelligence, demonstrating versatility in both data-cleansing work and presenting multi-year strategic visions to the C-suite.
