About the role

The Vice President, within the Global Business Development team for U.S. Commercial & Esoteric ABS, will meet revenue targets and expand Morningstar DBRS’ rating coverage through the development of relationships with issuers and bankers.

Responsibilities

  • Grow designated ABS sectors and meet/ exceed annual goals
  • Create new relationships and strengthen existing relationships
  • Track key metrics and communicate results as appropriate to senior executives
  • Monitor market trends, and identify new areas for business opportunities
  • Coordinate with marketing team to create and execute on client events and industry conferences
  • Work across internal groups including finance, marketing and customer service as necessary
  • Cover for other ABS Business Development teammates when they are out of the office

Requirements

  • Strong interest in the business development space
  • Understanding of the debt capital markets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with negotiation
  • Able to multi-task and work independently
  • Positive effect in a team environment
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
  • Ability to travel as required, primarily within the United States
