About the role
The Vice President, within the Global Business Development team for U.S. Commercial & Esoteric ABS, will meet revenue targets and expand Morningstar DBRS’ rating coverage through the development of relationships with issuers and bankers.
Responsibilities
- Grow designated ABS sectors and meet/ exceed annual goals
- Create new relationships and strengthen existing relationships
- Track key metrics and communicate results as appropriate to senior executives
- Monitor market trends, and identify new areas for business opportunities
- Coordinate with marketing team to create and execute on client events and industry conferences
- Work across internal groups including finance, marketing and customer service as necessary
- Cover for other ABS Business Development teammates when they are out of the office
Requirements
- Strong interest in the business development space
- Understanding of the debt capital markets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable with negotiation
- Able to multi-task and work independently
- Positive effect in a team environment
- Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- Ability to travel as required, primarily within the United States
