POSITION SUMMARY
The VP – Finance/Practice CFO is responsible for leading and managing the practice operations finance function. The candidate will be a strategic advisor and business partner to the SVP – Operations, as well as the broader practice leadership team and clinical governance board.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as a strategic partner to the SVP as a collaborative member of the practice leadership team.
- Actively participates in the development and implementation of the strategic plan to advance the practice’s growth and profitability.
- Provides guidance and assistance to operations in identifying key drivers for their financial and operating success.
- Administers the Partner Compensation plan and collaborates with the finance committee and CGB to model and analyze modifications as necessary.
- Collaborates with the SVP and CGB to inform the partner physicians of finance activities and strategic direction.
- Supports the SVP in the development and execution in achieving EBITDA growth objectives.
- Acts as a trusted partner to USAP physicians.
- Plays a key role in the company’s internal operations.
- “Hands-on” and detail oriented while balancing the “big picture” and communicates effectively.
- Drives excellence in financial systems and controls.
- Effectively communicates to ensure transparent reporting and planning.
- Ensures accurate reporting of financial statements and makes certain that the appropriate analysis of financial metrics occurs and is being properly considered in the running of the business.
- Inspires, leads, mentors, measures, and appraises the practice finance team to ensure stellar capabilities at all levels.
- Helps drive a culture of financial accuracy and accountability, and attracts, develops, and retains a world class finance organization.
- Acts as a strong, trustworthy, and reliable team player.
- Possesses the ability to collaborate effectively and partners closely with senior leaders across the organization to achieve company goals.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance is required.
- MBA and CPA certification highly preferred.
- Minimum 10 years overall experience and 5 years financial management experience in a healthcare company, preferably group practice management.
- Established track record of success in finance positions of increasing responsibility.
- Demonstrated ability to lead transformational change.
