Vice President, FIG Coverage
About the Role

You'll support the management and development of a portfolio of FIG clients, focusing on banks, asset managers, and other selected financial institutions, while identifying and developing new client opportunities to support NatWest Group's growth ambitions across the US financial institutions sector.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships across key internal stakeholders to deliver the full breadth of the bank's capabilities to chosen clients.
- Support and execute the US FIG strategy, working with a portfolio of banks, asset managers, and other financial institutions.
- Position NatWest Group as a trusted banking partner to both existing and prospective clients through client coverage and origination.
- Combine strong financial services knowledge with an understanding of client needs to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and build long-term relationships.
- Support origination activity for FIG clients across financing, risk management, and transaction banking products, collaborating closely with specialist product teams.
- Drive commercial discussions with clients and help position the bank as a leading partner in core areas of strength.
- Build relationships with external stakeholders, including industry associations, consultants, accounting firms, rating agencies, and advisory partners.
- Develop FIG market insights and sector-led content to support client engagement and business development.
- Assess and execute financing opportunities, including lending, capital markets, liquidity, deposits, and risk management solutions.
- Support the delivery of strong portfolio returns while actively managing client relationships in line with the bank's risk appetite.
- Prepare client materials, relationship plans, and transaction opportunities for senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Coverage, Debt Capital Markets, Rates, FX, Financing Solutions, Transaction Banking, and Risk to deliver coordinated client outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience as a banking or financial services professional with strong FIG expertise.
- Solid understanding of financial institutions, industry dynamics, credit considerations, and stakeholder perspectives.
- Experience managing or supporting client relationships as a coverage banker, or equivalent experience within corporate finance, capital markets, transaction banking, or product teams serving financial institutions.
- Knowledge of lending, Debt Capital Markets, Rates, FX, Cash Management, and Trade Finance.
- Knowledge across banking, asset management, and the broader financial institutions sector.
- Practical understanding of credit and wider risk management disciplines.

Pay
The expected base annual salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 at the start of employment. The exact compensation is determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and location.
