Vice President - Equity Capital Markets

About the role

The Equity Capital Markets team at Lazard provides strategic and tactical advice on equity-focused issues, equity capital-raising alternatives, and all aspects of deal execution. This role involves working closely with senior bankers to deliver best-in-class advice on equity transactions, managing processes across various phases, preparing client presentations, and interacting with client senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with senior bankers to deliver best-in-class advice on equity transactions
• Manage processes across various phases from development through deal execution
• Prepare client presentations, meeting materials, analysis, and memoranda
• Interact with client senior executives
• Track market developments and transactions
• Provide guidance to and supervise Associates and Analysts

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in Equity Capital Markets, specifically in the Americas
• Demonstrated team player attitude and leadership qualities with a strong motivation to contribute to a positive team culture
• Ability to support, manage and empower junior bankers
• Fluency in the use of AI tools
• Strong client and presentation skills
• Strong quantitative background and analytical skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously

• Bachelor’s degree required, an MBA would be an asset

Pay

The base salary range for this role is approximately $250,000 - $275,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant’s years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. Base salary is one component of Lazard Financial Advisory’s compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
