Responsibilities
- Build and maintain commercial banking relationships within the Bank’s market area.
- Develop commercial loan prospects, generate loans, referral leads, and other sources including Small Business, Commercial & Industrial, Commercial Real Estate, and Construction Financing.
- Make referrals to other banking services.
- Work with commercial borrowers to understand their business opportunities.
- Collect and evaluate financial and related loan data.
- Work closely with the commercial loan underwriting department to analyze loan requests and determine the creditworthiness of the borrower.
- Prepare loan proposals to originate, process, and make loan recommendations within lending, management, and/or Board of Trustees authority as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
- A minimum of five years of commercial lending experience.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills, with a focus on long-term client retention and satisfaction.
- Prioritize clear communication of complex financial concepts and credit decisions to clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to structure, negotiate, and close commercial credit transactions.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial lending practices, policies, and procedures.
- Commercial underwriting and financial analysis experience.
- Good understanding of financial institution products and services.
