Vice President, Clinical Excellence & Patient Safety

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Vice President Clinical Excellence & Patient Safety to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will support clinical priorities focused on quality, patient-centered outcomes, and effective care delivery. You will collaborate with clinical leaders, operational teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve standards, workflows, and execution. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen care quality, team performance, and measurable outcomes within a Technical Services environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage enterprise patient safety reporting and incident response protocols
• Lead risk management and root cause analysis initiatives
• Develop evidence-based clinical standards and care plans
• Set referral standards and communication expectations
• Advance initiatives to improve access to quality care
• Monitor adherence to standards and coordinate with Medical Operations
• Oversee medical data and informatics, including quality dashboards
• Drive quality initiatives in partnership with Science and Nursing
• Represent the organization on clinical excellence externally

Qualifications

• 8+ years of veterinary leadership experience in clinical standards development and implementation
• Experience in building KPI frameworks and quality improvement systems at scale
• Proven leadership capabilities across multiple functional areas
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based medicine and clinical standard-setting
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for executive presentations
• Involvement in organized veterinary medicine through publications and conferences preferred

Compensation

$250,000 – $300,000 annually
