Vice President, Client Coverage
About the role
As a VP, Client Executive within our Investment Management team in Asset Servicing, you will serve in a consultative capacity to clients, advising their leaders on achieving short- and long-term strategic objectives while aiming to retain and increase BNY wallet share. This role is based in New York City, NY or Boston, MA.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to evolve client business for incremental account growth.
- Conduct frequent and regular check-ins with assigned clients to ensure their continued satisfaction and strategic alignment with firm services and product offerings.
- Develop, track, and report on relationship strategy and results for your assigned client portfolio.
- Seek out and maintain prospect relationships with a focus on establishing new client connections.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, with preference for experience in a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Asset Servicing background is strongly preferred.
- Passion for the business, a ‘drive to win’ mindset, and a focus on outperformance.
- Commercial focus on growing the bottom line while mitigating and managing risk.
Skills
- Excellent ability to establish, develop, and maintain trust-based relationships with key stakeholders.
- Expert knowledge of the financial services industry and client segment, including business models, key players, new entrants, significant trends, and outlook.
- Strong communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written); able to articulate complex information clearly and simply to diverse audiences.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to navigate a matrixed organization.

Pay
BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package. The base salary for this position is expected to range between $68,000 and $179,000 per year at the commencement of employment, determined on an individualized basis including experience and market location. Total compensation may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short- and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
