PetVet Care Centers' Animal General - CT is currently seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join their team! Sign-on bonus opportunity of $5000 for qualified full-time candidates!
Position Overview
Join our team as a Veterinary Technician Supervisor who performs the duties of medical technical staff (e.g., technicians and assistants) as well as scheduling and supervising the staff of the assigned department. Expedites the care and efficiency of the department. In charge of patient care standards for the department. Must lead the team by example, demonstrating organizational skills, following company policies, and maintaining a professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain processes for effective medical record keeping and billing
- Collect and process work charts
- Absorb and enter in-patient charges and/or procedures performed in billing system
- Ensure invoices are sent monthly and as requested by clients and doctors
- Process payments and monthly statements
- Resolve escalated financial problems with clients, collecting delinquent accounts and "NSF" checks; determine when special financial agreements are appropriate
- Absorb and monitor accounts receivable
- Prepare, print, and mail invoice or statement copies for customers as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Be dependable and punctual
Qualifications (Required)
- A High School Diploma or the equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience with veterinary medicine, strong skills, and leadership experience
- A high level of competence in the complete range of veterinary technician skills
- Working in a team environment
- Customer Service
- An attention to detail
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Supervisory skills, including performance management, feedback, and communications
- Staff scheduling skills
- A professionalism and ability to properly handle confidential information
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or the Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT) preferred
Schedule
Full-time (40 hours), Day Shift
