Veterinary Technician - Specialty Teams Supervisor

Job Summary

The Specialty Teams Supervisor serves as the primary clinical liaison for all of our Specialty Departments, ensuring smooth daily operations, high-quality patient care, and excellent client service. This role will be on the clinical floor in our specialty departments approximately 80% of the time and supports SCVSEC and the Clinical Manager by overseeing the Veterinary Healthcare Team.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate with doctors to optimize workflow and make sure the departments are well-equipped and organized.
  • Cover daily responsibilities and case support based on doctor's schedules and departmental needs.
  • Reassign technical staff as needed to maintain productivity and maximize patient care and client service.
  • Ensure team is providing daily cleaning to maintain treatment area and equipment to hygienic standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in veterinary specialty medicine where advanced technical skills were acquired.
  • Ability to inspire and direct a team to promote efficiency and quality care.
  • Strong focus on efficiency, cleanliness and thoroughness in all tasks.
  • Willingness to respond positively to requests from staff and work effectively with others.
  • Knowledge and experience working with CT, Radiology, and Ultrasound.
  • Great work ethic and thrives in a fast-paced environment; Self-starter who is able to work with and without direct supervision.
