Responsibilities
- Perform triage and provide high-standard patient care in an emergency setting.
- Comfortably handle restraint, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and basic medical math.
- Assist with anesthesia induction and recovery.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians, assistants, and doctors to deliver efficient and lifesaving care.
- Manage clinical communication and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Experience as a Veterinary Technician, preferably in emergency medicine.
- Associate’s in Veterinary Technology or CVT license is a plus.
- Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring and phlebotomy.
- Knowledge of patient scheduling, medical supply ordering, and laboratory test requests.
- Familiarity with veterinary instruments, sterilization techniques, and standardized procedures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or under direction.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Skills
- Restraint, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement.
- Anesthesia induction and recovery.
- Basic medical math and CPR (preferred but not required).
- Client needs assessment and service quality evaluation.
Schedule
Full-time overnight shifts: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM. Holiday work is required.
Pay
Starting at $21.50–$28.00/hour, dependent on experience and education.
