Veterinary Technician - Overnight ER

Responsibilities

• Perform triage and provide high-standard patient care in an emergency setting.
• Comfortably handle restraint, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and basic medical math.
• Assist with anesthesia induction and recovery.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians, assistants, and doctors to deliver efficient and lifesaving care.
• Manage clinical communication and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Experience as a Veterinary Technician, preferably in emergency medicine.
• Associate’s in Veterinary Technology or CVT license is a plus.
• Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring and phlebotomy.
• Knowledge of patient scheduling, medical supply ordering, and laboratory test requests.
• Familiarity with veterinary instruments, sterilization techniques, and standardized procedures.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or under direction.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Skills

• Restraint, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement.
• Anesthesia induction and recovery.
• Basic medical math and CPR (preferred but not required).
• Client needs assessment and service quality evaluation.

Schedule

Full-time overnight shifts: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM. Holiday work is required.

Pay

Starting at $21.50–$28.00/hour, dependent on experience and education.
