Responsibilities

• Administer medications and chemotherapy under the supervision of an oncologist
• Assist with diagnostics, including lab work, imaging, and CT scans
• Support oncology appointments and help manage patient flow and scheduling
• Assist with our radioactive I131 program for hyperthyroid cats
• Maintain accurate medical records, treatment notes, and drug logs
• Provide empathetic client communication and education
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Radiology
• Deliver emotional support and patient-centered care during every step of treatment

Requirements

• Licensed or credentialed veterinary technician, or experienced veterinary assistant
• Experience in specialty medicine and/or oncology preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Confidence working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Familiarity with veterinary medical software (e.g., EzyVet, SmartFlow) a plus
• A positive attitude and commitment to compassionate care

Pay

Starting at $25-38/hr, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM, 4-day work week with one weekday off and weekends off. Final schedule to be discussed during the interview process. Occasional holidays are required.
