Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional nursing care for Internal Medicine patients throughout diagnostics, treatment, and recovery.
- Assist veterinarians with advanced medical procedures, diagnostics, and patient treatments.
- Place IV catheters, perform accurate drug calculations, and administer medications safely and efficiently.
- Monitor anesthesia and support patients during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratories.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures including radiology, ultrasound, ECG, blood pressure monitoring, and glucose monitoring.
- Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and weights while providing client education during outpatient appointments.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for hospitalized patients, including treatments, diagnostics, medication administration, and accurate medical record documentation.
- Conduct pre-admission evaluations and discharge appointments while communicating treatment plans and patient updates with clients.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and legally defensible medical records.
- Participate actively in nursing rounds and collaborate on patient care plans.
- Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.
Requirements
- Licensed, Certified, or Registered Veterinary Technician (LVT, CVT, or RVT) preferred, or a Veterinary Technician with at least five years of Internal Medicine experience.
- Minimum of two years of Internal Medicine experience preferred.
- Strong technical skills including IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, medication administration, and advanced patient nursing.
- Experience performing laboratory testing and assisting with advanced diagnostic procedures.
- Strong understanding of veterinary pharmacology and Internal Medicine patient care.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, computer, and multitasking abilities.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and hospital safety standards.

Pay
$30–35/hour + $5,000 Sign-On Bonus

- Rotating schedule: Week 1: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM | Week 2: Tuesday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
