A technician with at least 5 years of experience in Internal Medicine OR a licensed/certified veterinary technician (LVT/CVT) with a strong interest in Internal Medicine.

Rotating Schedule

• Week 1: Monday - Thursday 8am - 6pm
• Week 2: Tuesday - Friday 8am - 6pm.

Position Overview

Red Bank Veterinary Hospital Hillsborough is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to join their Internal Medicine team. The team emphasizes positive patient experiences and offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, a 401k with employer match, and paid time off (including sick time).

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Assist veterinarians in the practice of veterinary medicine and surgery.
• Proficient IV catheter placement, and accurate drug calculations & calculations.
• Quality nursing and husbandry care of patients.
• Strong working knowledge of veterinary procedures and pharmacology.
• Perform in-hospital lab testing and prepare specimens for outside labs.
• Perform and/or participate in all other diagnostics such as radiology, ultrasound, ECG, BP, and glucose monitoring.
• Maintain legally defensible medical records in cooperation with veterinarians.
• Actively engage in nursing rounds.

Requirements

• 2 years' experience in Internal Medicine.
• Excellent veterinary nursing and technician skills.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Strong computer skills.
• Strong ability to multi-task.
• Clear understanding and enforcement of OSHA regulations and hospital safety standards.
