About the role
At Dogs and Cats Emergency Specialists (DCES), we are seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team in the Internal Medicine department. This position offers a generous sign-on bonus for qualified Registered Veterinary Technicians!
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation is based on experience and skill level. $23-29/hr.

- Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm
Work Environment
Our work environment includes:
- Cutting-edge technology, including a fully integrated in-house laboratory, digital radiography, ultrasound, on-site CT and MRI, video endoscopy, cystoscopy, laparoscopy, fluoroscopy, climate-controlled oxygen therapy, and a telemetric ECG system.

Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency and critical care setting
- Demonstrated excellence in nursing care and critical thinking skills
- Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and limited on-call duties
- Strong desire to learn and grow in the role.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.
- Proficient in calculating doses and administering intravenous drugs and fluids
- Skilled in obtaining and analyzing laboratory samples (blood, urine, and stool)
- Experience in catheter placement
- Possesses the stamina of an athlete to keep up with lively kitties and energetic puppies
- Capable of monitoring patients under anesthesia (ventilator experience is a plus!)
