Veterinary Receptionist - Relief
About the role
At BluePearl Pet Hospital in Brentwood, TN, we are hiring Relief Veterinary Receptionists. Responsibilities
- Greet and make friendly eye contact every time the hospital entry door opens to offer warm and professional acknowledgement.
- Offer a friendly smile, strong eye contact, and an approachable demeanor.
- Be a compassionate listener and speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone in a way that clients easily understand.
- Assess immediately upon arrival each client’s rare need, as well as the pet’s general condition.
- Determine whether an emergency arrival is a "stat" versus "standard" emergency.
- Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
- Confirm all appointments in advance ensuring clients receive accurate information about preparing their pet for the appointment.
- Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains by ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $26.00 per hour. This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through leveling system.
