Veterinary Receptionist

About the role

As a Receptionist at Tenth Street Animal Hospital in Greenville, North Carolina, you will serve as the Director of First Impressions, ensuring every client and pet receives a warm, compassionate welcome. You will coordinate seamless care by managing medical records, appointment schedules, and financial transactions while advocating for preventative pet health and educating clients on hospital services.

Responsibilities

• Manage a multi-line phone system and greet clients with a positive, empathetic attitude.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure smooth appointment scheduling.
• Handle financial transactions and support the hospital’s operational efficiency.
• Educate clients on preventative care and other hospital services to promote pet wellness.
• Provide a calming presence for clients, demonstrating empathy and respect in every interaction.

Requirements

• A passion for excellent customer service and a genuine love for animals.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage stressful situations with good judgment and a positive attitude.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative, team-first mindset with the ability to work both independently and with direction.
• Experience with veterinary software is preferred.
• A flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays, is required.
