About the role

We’re looking for a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our hospital. In this role, you’ll greet clients and their pets, manage phone lines, schedule appointments, process payments, and ensure our front desk runs smoothly. You’ll work closely with our doctors, technicians, and fellow receptionists to support efficient patient flow and provide excellent care to both pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients and their pets with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
  • Answer and manage multiple phone lines efficiently
  • Schedule appointments and help coordinate the hospital’s daily workflow
  • Monitor and manage appointments booked online
  • Check clients and patients in and out
  • Maintain accurate client and patient information
  • Use web-based software for client communication and patient records
  • Process payments and assist with front-desk transactions
  • Respond to client questions and provide clear information about hospital services and next steps
  • Coordinate with doctors, technicians, assistants, and fellow receptionists to support efficient patient flow
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed to keep the hospital running smoothly

Requirements

  • Confidence using computers and learning web-based veterinary software

  • A genuine love of animals and desire to help people
  • Willingness to learn about the care of a wide variety of species
  • Previous veterinary experience is preferred but not required

Schedule

Full-time, 4 days per week (approximately 35–38 hours), including rotating Saturdays.
